The Crest apartments in Burswood, Western Australia, were completed in 2019, with Opticomm doing what it does best in each of the luxury apartments: installing tech that allows residents to enjoy futuristic features and connectivity.
The apartments, which are the cornerstone of the rejuvenation and expansion of the entire Burswood Precinct, boast interconnected security and intercom systems, automation systems, CCTV, and more.
Residents are able to access faster download speeds enabled by Opticomm fibres, and they also have the ability to control their apartments via a smart panel: air conditioners, heating and access to the building can all be controlled with the click of a button.
The Crest apartments was the first project that Opticomm collaborated with developers Norup + Wilson, with the success of the build leading to the two teams joining forces again for Precinct Apartments in Mount Pleasant and The Beach Shack in Scarborough, with the former now complete and the latter currently under construction.
Opticomm’s state manager Kevin Chambers outlines how the two teams were aligned in their goals.
“ When we first met with Norup + Wilson they outlined how they wanted to deliver apartments that were a cut above the rest – and part of that was ensuring the technology was the best of the best, which is where we come in,” he said.
Norup + Wilson director Dave Wilson believes the work done at The Crest has set the two companies up for a long and prosperous relationship.
“After we had spoken with Opticomm and they outlined what they could do for us, we knew they were the right option.
“Opticomm’s innovative approach meant that, for the first time in apartment buildings, all the services were collated and distributed over the fibre network.
We’re looking forward to working with Opticomm on our future projects in a collaborative manner,” Dave said. To read more about Opticomm’s smart city capabilities, visit: https://www.opticomm.net.au/developers To read more about The Crest, visit https://www.thecrestburswood.com/
